Inhibition

An Inhibition is a writ that prohibits a Debtor from selling (or burdening) his or her property.  There is a public  in Scotland called the Register of Inihibitions and Adjudications.  That Register gives notice to the public that a person is inhibited, and therefore they are are unable to grant a title to heritable property.
